Dakota Blue Richards

Dakota Blue Richards is an English actor who has been known for playing Lyra Belacqua in the film 'The Golden Compass' and Franky Fitzgerald as part of the third generation of actors in British teens' drama "Skins'. She's also an active performer on the stage. The credits she has received include 'Arcadia and 'A Streetcar Named Desire" among others. Richards was a Londoner at birth, lived on the Sussex coast. Richards attended a few acting classes at the school, however she was able to take the majority of acting lessons at the weekend. She skipped school in order to audition. "The Golden Compass" was her first on-screen appearance as an actor. Though the film got some mixed reviews, Richards received widespread positive review for her performance.
