Jennifer Lopez

JenniferJennifer has always wanted to be a multitasking celebrity. In her youth Jennifer was a fan of many different musical styles, mostly Afro-Caribbean musics like merengue, salsa and the bachata. Additionally, she loved mainstream music such as hip hop and R&B. She was a lover of music, but was equally fascinated by the film industry. West Side Story, a musical composed by Rita Moreno (1961), was her most significant source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer, besides being an entertainer and Catholic girl, was a student for eight years of Holy Family Catholic elementary school in The Bronx. After completing the four-year course at the school, she was able to graduate from Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. Jennifer performed well in the sports department at school and participated in track and field and tennis. Her home in the Castle Hill neighbourhood was her place of residence for the bulk of her adult life. As a teenager, Jennifer moved out of the house of her parents. Lopez started working in an office for lawyers while partying in the evenings.
